Water’s Soul
At the edge of the Hudson River in Jersey City, Water’s Soul rises quietly above the pier. This 80-foot sculpture by Jaume Plensa depicts a woman with closed eyes and a finger to her lips, inviting viewers to pause and reflect. Made from resin, fiberglass, and marble dust, it was unveiled in 2021 as a tribute to the calming presence of water.
Fun Fact: The sculpture faces Manhattan, symbolizing a silent dialogue between the city and the river.
