HIDDEN STORIES

Governors Island
Just a quick ferry ride from Manhattan, Governors Island is a 172-acre playground of history, nature, and imagination. Once a military base, it’s now a haven for hammocks, art installations, and bike rides with skyline views. It’s home to the Center for Climate Solutions, making it a hub for sustainability and innovation.
Fun fact: The island’s forts, Castle Williams and Fort Jay, are shaped like stars and were built to defend New York from naval attacks!
