Brooklyn Bridge
With its gothic arches and steel cables, the Brooklyn Bridge is basically the superhero of NYC infrastructure. Finished in 1883, it was the first steel-wire suspension bridge in the world.
Fun fact: To prove it was safe, P.T. Barnum marched 21 elephants across it in 1884. Talk about a trunk show!
